Step 1: Begin by melting some white chocolate. I did about two cups (use more or less depending on how much bark is desired). I started by putting the chocolate in a microwavable bowl and heat for 30 seconds. Mix chocolate really well. Melt again for 30 seconds. Mix well. Repeat as needed decreasing time as it gets more melty. Total it only took about a minute to a minute and a half. Just keep stirring until all the lumps are gone.

Step 2: Pour chocolate on a covered cookie sheet in a thin layer. Break or cut Oreo’s in half or fourths. Stick cookies in the layer of white chocolate.

Break up about 6 to 8 cookies in a bag using hands or a rolling pin. Melt another two cups of chocolate and then stir in cookie bits.

Pour/spread cookie chocolate mixture over the other layers.

Spread it out over all the cookies. Melt a small amount of white chocolate and tint it with red food coloring. Put in a zip lock bag and cut of a corner to squeeze over top layer of bark. Add patriotic sprinkles. Place in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes to set up.

Remove from freezer and break apart bark. I used a knife to break it up. Just put the point of a steak knife into the bark and push it down hard. Store in refrigerator to avoid melting.

Place cookies & cream bark in cute containers to enjoy while watching fireworks, BBQing or just need a sweet treat. It is beautiful and delicious.

I love the blue Oreo’s and how they give a variety of layers to the Patriotic Cookies & Cream Bark. It would be perfect with red-filled Oreo’s and blue chocolate drizzles on the top.

This dessert is rich. Make thinner layers to decrease the richness. Or if you love rich things (I do) make the layers a little thicker!!!
