DIY Crate Bookcase
I recently shared this super fun tutorial to make your own DIY Crate Bookcase at Simply Designing.
It is a great way to add color to a very neutral room on a budget. This project cost me total of $35.
Hop on over here to Simply Designing to see the full tutorial (click here).
I added lots of little touches to make it really colorful and fun. The top had some summery green flowers and vases. On the top shelf I put a yellow frame and aqua dish with decorative balls.
I love how the distressing turned out. I used a cool technique.
This bookcase is super versatile. There are lots of ways to set up the DIY Crate Bookcase. Mix and match lots of colors.
This cobalt blue color is awesome. I love it!!! It will go perfect in my neutral basement and add lots of color.
I hope you will jump over to see the full tutorial at Simply Designing.

I love this Emily! I have been wanting to do something with crates!
I’m visiting from The CSI Project and now following you on G+, Pinterist and FB. You have a darling blog and I can’t wait to share ideas with you.
Thank you for the feature of my Glitter and Monogram Serving Tray over at The CSI Project!

Simple yet effective! A great DIY project, and I love that colour blue. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great project. I’ve seen those crates at Michael’s and thought about getting some. I think I’d need to attach them, as I’ve got a lot of rambunctious boys in my house!
Pinned!
That blue color is so gorgeous and eye catching! Great job!
