Why You’ll Love this Recipe

Last year, I created a peach lemonade recipe. It was awesome! I was at the grocery store and saw a bunch of big juicy blueberries. They called to me. I kept walking through the produce and saw the bright and sunny lemons. They were a match made in heaven. I was very excited to get home and try a new lemonade recipe.

This recipe takes only four ingredients. You can have a fresh squeezed lemonade in no time with a blueberry twist. Perfect for cooling off, or even serving on the Fourth of July!

Ingredients

Here are the four simple ingredients you will need to make a batch of blueberry lemonade:

  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice about 4 to 6 lemons
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water

How to Make Blueberry Lemonade

This recipe only takes four simple steps to make.

  1. Start by juicing lemons to get 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Will take about 4 to 6 lemons depending on size and juiciness. Be sure to remove any seeds.
  2. Mash or puree blueberries to your desired texture. Less for more chunky blueberries and more for a less textured puree.
  3. Mix all ingredients in a pitcher
  4. Serve chilled or over ice.

Tips For Making This Lemonade

Food chopper: I used my food chopper to mash up the blueberries. It worked great so that the blueberries added the flavor but they weren’t large chunks. If fruit chunks were desired, it would be best to mash blueberries with forks.

Lemon Juicer: I find any lemon juicer will work, but I love this style for easy and quick juicing.

Serving: For an extra special touch grab some cute paper straws and mason jars for serving. I even have tied a piece of baker’s twine around my jars for special events like baby showers or bridal showers.
