Extreme Book Nerd Challenge Category: Cozy Mystery
When I started the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge there were a couple of categories that worried me, a ghost story and a cozy mystery. In middle school and high school, I loved mysteries. I read Nancy Drew, Agatha Christie, and more! But as an adult I’ve shied away from anything that might be sort of scary. I must be getting old!
Glazed Murder was perfect for me. A cozy mystery is a small town mystery that aren’t too scary or bloody. The book follows Suzanne who owns a cute little donut shop. A body is dumped in front of her shop just after she has arrived to make her donuts for the morning. The police don’t seem to be doing their job, so she steps in to help so that she isn’t the next one.
This is cute, fun, and really did remind me of Nancy Drew with donuts. If you love series, Glazed Murder is the first of The Donut Shop Mysteries. So you will be busy reading for a while! Oh and there is even a touch of romance to this book. So if you are like me and only like a little mystery that isn’t too scary. Try Glazed Murder!
