No Sew St. Patrick’s Banner

One of my favorite holidays is St. Patrick’s Day. Why you may ask? It is the color green. It is my favorite. So I like this holiday purely because it is all about wearing green, eating green food and looking for leprechauns.  So to celebrate, I made this simple no sew St. Patrick’s Banner.7Lucky Banner at www.thebensonstreet.comYou will need:

  • green fabric
  • burlap
  • burlap ribbon or ribbon
  • hot glue gun & glue
  • heat transfer vinyl (I get mine at Expressions Vinyl)

Lucky Banner at www.thebensonstreet.comStart by cutting out your pendant or flag shapes. I did five for the word “lucky.” Pick any St. Patrick’s day words to use for your banner. Trace the pendants on the back side of the fabric.

Cut out squares of burlap to transfer your vinyl to. I unraveled the edges a little bit to give it a fun whimsical look. Cut your letters out with your heat transfer vinyl and transfer letters to burlap squares.

  1. My daughter and friends did something similar for a bridal shower at our house. Such a cute idea! I’m visiting through Diana Rambles and I pinned you!

  2. I love this idea! I’m all for no-sew projects. I’m going to try it out this weekend. I found your blog via the Pin Me Linky Party. Have a great weekend!

  3. I love how you don’t have to sew to make this great banner….I have some of the burlap “ribbon” from Pick Your Plum…I think I know how I’ll be using it!
