Witch Hats Halloween Decor
So I gave you a couple days break from the halloween ideas, but I’m loving them so here is another one for this week. Witch Hats Halloween Decor. These are easy and add a fun halloween flair to your home.
What I used:
- acrylic paint
- scrapbook paper
- thin cardboard
- ric rac or ribbon
- glitter spray
- hot glue gun and glue
- paper/cardboard cones
Paint each cone a different color or do them each the same if you want a continuous look between the witch hats.
While the witch hats are drying use a bowl or container to trace a circle on the scrapbook paper. Make sure that it is bigger than the bottom of the cone.
Cut out the same size circle out of the thin cardboard. Glue each circle to the cardboard.
Spray each hat with glitter spray paint if you want a glittery flair.
Use hot glue to glue the ric rac to the bottom of the cone.
Use opposite colors of ric rac that match the scrapbook paper for each witch hat.
Run a line of glue along the bottom of the cone and then glue it to the circle.
I love the different combinations of colors and how fun these hats turned out. They could become as complex as you like with embellishments.
Or if you prefer simple leave the hats with just the ric rac and glitter.
Try different sizes of ric rac for the different hats. Different scrapbook papers will also give the hats a different look.
I love adding the green and purple into the orange and black. It gives regular Halloween colors so much more possibility.
Aren’t they just fun? They will work well on an entry table or mantle.
I absolutely adore this paper on the purple hat. Love the kaleidoscope effect. Projects like these make me excited for Halloween!
