What Are These Christmas Money Envelopes?

This is a set of four free printable cash envelopes for the Christmas season. Each one holds folded bills or a gift card. Plus, every envelope has a little To and From spot, so you can skip the extra tag.

Each design has its own personality. Some are sweet, and one is a little sassy. Here’s what you get in this set of different designs:

  • Ho Ho Dough with a jolly Santa Claus 🎅

Why You’ll Love This Idea

Let’s be honest. Monetary gifts can feel a little boring. You know the drill. Most of us stand in the checkout line, grab a generic card, and hope for the best. These little envelopes add a personal touch without any extra stress. In addition, they cost almost nothing to make.

These also work great for busy parents and teachers. You get an instant download, so there’s no waiting on shipping or driving to a print shop. They tuck right into Christmas cards or hang on the Christmas tree. Honestly, it’s a great way to give money that still feels thoughtful. Last year, my kids’ teachers loved them! 🍪

How to Use These Printable Christmas Money & Gift Card Envelopes

Getting started is super simple. Grab your supplies, then follow these quick steps. You’ll finish before your coffee gets cold! ☕

  1. Download the printable files. To download, head to the end of the post and enter your name and email address in the dark green download box. We’ll email the PDF to your inbox.
  2. Print on white cardstock. Regular white paper works too, but cardstock holds up better.
  3. Cut out each envelope. A paper trimmer gives you nice, straight edges.
  4. Fold on the dotted lines. Crease each fold well.
  5. Glue the flaps together. Let the glue dry for a few minutes.
  6. Fill in the To and From spots. Kids love helping with this part!
  7. Slide in cash or a gift card from the top. Then gift away! 🎁

Common Questions About Christmas Cash Envelopes

Are these free printable cash envelopes really free?

Yes! Like all my free printables, they’re for personal use. Please don’t sell or share the files. Instead, send friends to this post so they can grab their own free downloads.

What paper works best?

White cardstock gives you the sturdiest envelopes. Regular printer paper works in a pinch, though. Either way, set your printer to “actual size” so the whole design prints. Always look at the preview before printing to make sure the entire image is seen.

Will a gift card fit inside?

Absolutely! A standard gift card slides right in. For cash, fold the bills so they fit snugly. That way, nothing slips out on the way to Grandma’s house.

Can I use these instead of a money holder card?

Yep! Each envelope works just like a money holder card. Write a quick “Merry Christmas!” note on the back. It’s cheaper than store-bought Christmas envelopes and so much cuter.
