Firework Ribbon Garland
Hello there, it’s Emily from The Benson Street where I post about holidays, crafts and recipes. I am excited to be here participating in this fun 4th of July series. Thanks for having me over Pam and Lisa! I love patriotic crafts. Especially patriotic crafts that are easy and fun, like this adorable patriotic firework ribbon garland using only a few things like ribbon scraps.
Gather this simple list of supplies:
- Baker’s Twine
- Red, White and Blue ribbon scraps (to create the ribbon fireworks)
- scissors
To get started cut a piece of baker’s twine about four feet long.
Cut five or six small strips of scrap ribbon in a variety of reds, whites, and blues.
Tie each piece of ribbon to the baker’s twine. Tie each piece of ribbon over the first so they are all tied in the same spot to look like an explosion of ribbons.
The finished product should look like this:
Repeat to create four more ribbon “fireworks” on the baker’s twine, equally spaced.
Hang the garland on a mantel or as part of party decor. It is a fun and easy way to add some patriotic flair to a 4th of July party. It would work perfect to highlight a food table at a patriotic BBQ. Another idea is to hang it outside on a door or outdoor patio furniture.
Use a variety of ribbon sizes, colors and textures for an even more interesting garland. Better yet add some glittery ribbon for a sparkly look. Everything is better with glitter.
I hope you enjoy this easy 4th of July craft and have a great holiday! Thanks for letting me share!
