Brown Butter Halloween Sprinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter 2 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 3/4 C light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 C Halloween Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with silicone baking mat
  • Using a small pot, add the butter and place into the pot.
  • Place the pot over medium heat and whisk occasionally.
  • Once the butter has melted, it will begin to get little brown specs.
  • Remove the butter from the stove top, set to the side, and allow to cool for about 10 minutes In a medium sized bowl, add the flour, baking soda, and salt, whisk to combine.
  • Using a standing mixer with a paddle attachment, add the sugar, light brown sugar, and browned butter.
  • Mix on medium speed until fully combined, light and fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla and mix until combined
  • Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and continue to mix on medium speed, until a soft dough has formed
  • Add in 1 cup of halloween sprinkles into the cookie dough and carefully mix the sprinkles into the dough on low speed.
  • Using the cookie scoop, scoop approx 3 oz of dough into your hands and roll into a ball
  • Place the rest of the sprinkles into a small bowl.
  • Take the cookie dough ball and roll into the sprinkles.
  • Place the dough ball onto the cookie sheet and lightly press down into a thick disk
  • Bake in the oven for 13-15 minutes or until firm around the edges but soft in the center. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
