Slow Cooker Creamed Corn with Bacon

Easily make delicious slow cooker creamed corn with bacon for a delightful side dish to accompany a variety of meals.

Equipment

  • slow cooker or crock pot

Ingredients

  • 32 oz 2lb frozen corn
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed
  • ½ c heavy cream
  • ¼ c unsalted butter melted
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 t salt or more to taste
  • ¼ t pepper or more to taste
  • 2 strips precooked bacon crumbled
  • Chopped green onions to garnish

Instructions

  • Place the corn in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the cubed cream cheese over the corn.
  • Pour over the melted butter and heavy cream.
  • Sprinkle with the sugar, salt and pepper. Toss to coat the corn.
  • Heat over high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-6 hours or until the corn is heated through. Stir occasionally.
  • Serve with a sprinkling of crumbled bacon and chopped green onions, to garnish.

Notes

Storage: Corn can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
