Christmas Party Game Who Am I Free Printable

The tree is up, the cookies are baking, and the kids are already bouncing off the walls. Sound familiar? 🎄 This Christmas Who Am I Game is my secret weapon for those wild December days. It takes about two minutes to print. However, it keeps everyone laughing for way longer than that!

What Is This Christmas Guessing Game?

This free printable is a simple holiday guessing game. Each card shows a favorite Christmas character, like Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, or Buddy the Elf. You stick a card on your forehead without peeking. Then, you ask yes-or-no questions until you figure out who you are.

You might know this style of game as a headbands game. In fact, it works the same way, just with a festive twist. Best of all, you don’t need to buy a thing. Just print the Christmas character cards, cut them out, and you’re ready to go!

Why You’ll Love This Holiday Party Game

First of all, this game is ridiculously easy to set up. You know those nights when you want to do something fun but you’re running on fumes? This is that game. There are no rules to memorize and no pieces to lose under the couch. Plus, it works for little kids, teens, and even Grandpa.

Honestly, my favorite part is the giggles. My two kids lose it every time someone asks, “Am I a reindeer?” while holding up a gingerbread man card. It turns a regular evening into a memory. And isn’t that what the holidays are all about? ❤️ It’s also a great screen-free activity, which is a total win in my book.

Here’s how to get the fun started. It’s simple enough for kids to learn in about thirty seconds! Grab your cards, gather your crew, and let’s go.

  1. Pick a Card: Each player gets a Christmas character card without looking at it.
  2. Show Your Card: Hold the card to your forehead (you could tape it to your head too) or have someone place it on your back so everyone else can see it.
  3. Ask Questions: Take turns asking yes-or-no questions to figure out which Christmas character you are.
  4. Guess Your Character: Use the answers to help you identify your character!
  5. Keep Playing: Continue until everyone guesses their character. Play for fun or see who can guess correctly first!

Quick Tips Before You Play

Print the cards on cardstock so they hold up to little hands. If you want extra peek protection, you can print the patterned back side on the cards too (the last pages in the PDF file). You can also laminate them to reuse every year. Need a tip for the younger crowd? Start with easy questions like “Do I wear red?” or “Do I live at the North Pole?”

Common Questions About Christmas Who Am I

What ages is this game good for?

This game works great for kids around age five and up. Younger kids can still join in with a little help. For example, a grown-up can give hints or play as a team with them.

How many people can play?

You need at least two players. Beyond that, the sky is the limit! For a big group, the mingle version works best because everyone moves around and chats.

What questions should I ask?

Start broad and then narrow it down. Ask things like “Am I a person?” or “Can I fly?” Next, ask about colors, clothes, or where you live. Before long, you’ll crack the case!

Can I use this in a classroom?

Absolutely! It makes an awesome Christmas game for kids during a class party. It also sneaks in some critical thinking practice, so teachers love it too. 🍎
