Grinch Fruit Kabobs: The Easiest Christmas Treat Ever
Grinch Fruit Kabobs are an easy Christmas treat with grapes, strawberries, & mini marshmallows. Make this cute, no-bake snack in 15 minutes for your next party!

Grinch Fruit Kabobs are my go-to holiday snack when I need something cute in a hurry. You know those December weeks. Class parties, cookie swaps, and school concerts all land at once! 😅
So I keep this one in my back pocket. It takes three ingredients and about 15 minutes. Best of all, my two kids actually eat it.

What Is This Grinchy Little Snack?
These fun fruit skewers look just like the Grinch in his Santa hat. A green grape makes his face. Next, a strawberry turns into a bright red hat. Finally, a mini marshmallow adds the fluffy pom-pom on top.
That’s it! You skip the oven, the frosting, and the mess on the kitchen floor. In other words, it’s a healthy Christmas snack that still feels like a party.
They also look amazing on a holiday fruit tray. Kids grab them fast, so make a few extra. Honestly, the grown-ups sneak a couple too. 🍓

Prep the Fruit
- Rinse the grapes and strawberries in cool water. Then pat everything dry with paper towels for about 2 minutes. Dry fruit holds together better.
- Slice the green tops off the strawberries. This gives each berry a flat base, just like a hat brim.
Build the Skewers
- Slide one green grape onto a kabob stick for the Grinch’s head. Push it about halfway down.
- Next, add a strawberry, wide end first. Now the Grinch has his Santa hat! 🎅
- After that, press a mini marshmallow onto the pointy tip of the stick. This is the white ball on the end of his hat.
- Repeat with the rest of the grapes, strawberries, and marshmallows.

Chill and Serve
- Lay the skewers on a platter. Cover them and chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes so the fruit tastes cool and crisp.
Quick tip: let your kids add the marshmallows. It’s the easiest step, and they feel like little chefs!

Where to Bring These Festive Fruit Skewers
These little guys travel well. Here are some of my favorite spots for them:
- School holiday parties and classroom treats 🏫
- Family Grinch movie night
- Christmas brunch or a holiday breakfast buffet
- Cookie exchanges (a fresh break from all that sugar!)
- Ugly sweater parties
- Christmas Eve snack boards
- After-school snacks all December long
Basically, anywhere you need red and green party food, these fit right in.

Fun Variations to Try
Want to switch things up? Try one of these easy swaps:
- Add a banana slice. Grab a large banana and slice, then tuck it between the grape and strawberry for a fluffy hat band.
- Dip in white chocolate. Dip the strawberry tips and skip the marshmallow.
- Give him a heart. Stick a tiny red candy heart on the grape with a dab of frosting. His heart grew three sizes, right? ❤️
- Swap in kiwi. A chunk of kiwi makes a bigger, bolder Grinch.
- Try melon balls. Honeydew works great for older kids.
- Make them mini. Use toothpicks instead of long sticks for bite-size holiday appetizers.
And hey, what’s the Grinch’s favorite fruit? Sour grapes, of course! 😂

Can You Make Them Ahead?
Yes, but only a little ahead. You can wash and dry the fruit the night before. Keep the grapes and strawberries in separate airtight containers in the fridge.
Then build the kabobs up to 4 hours before your event. Keep them covered in the fridge until party time. After that, the strawberries start to get soft and juicy.
Leftovers last about 1 day in the fridge. However, the marshmallows may turn a bit sticky. I don’t recommend freezing them either.

Your Questions, Answered
How do you keep strawberries from getting soggy on skewers?
Dry them really well first. Also, wait to slice off the tops until the day you build them. Extra moisture makes everything a mushy texture.
Are these safe for toddlers?
Whole grapes can be a choking risk for little ones. So for toddlers, cut the grapes into quarters and slide everything off the stick. Always supervise kids with pointy skewers too.
What other fruit goes with Grinch skewers?
Green apple slices, kiwi, honeydew, and raspberries all look great on a Christmas fruit platter.
How many should I make per person?
Plan on 2 to 3 kabobs per kid. Grown-ups usually grab 1 or 2.
Are they gluten-free?
Grapes and strawberries are naturally gluten-free. Most mini marshmallows are too, but always check the label.
